Mother's Day and Other Things...

Today is Mother's Day. The boys have been so excited for it to come. A highlight of today was getting to Skype with Uncle Kyle who is in Brazil! Easton worked on the following envelope at Pre-School. Inside there was a card and it said...
My mommy cuddles me,
kisses me, hugs me and misses me,
pampers me, praises me.
Washes my clothes for me, tickles my toes for me,
giggles and talks with me,
and goes on walks with me.
Says "sweet dreams" to me,
sings sweet songs to me.
I am glad she belongs to me!
----
Easton filled out the following....
My mommy's name is "Tisha"
She like to help me and
my brother take a bath.
She's about twenty-six years old.
My daddy calls her "Tisha"
Her favorite color is yellow
and her favorite thing to
eat is muffins.
She likes to watch
"The Move In House" on tv.
She has a brother, Uncle Eric,
"The Big Barnicle!"
For fun she takes me swimming.
For Mother's Day I want to tell
my mommy,
"I will be good and do
what you want me to do."
Love Easton
Easton also had Grandma help make me a new keychain for my truck keys. He chose my favorite color, his favorite color, and Mason's favorite color. In Church the boys drew me pictures and made me these flower necklaces. They are such thoughtful cute boys!
Justin and the boys got me a new knife for doing chores. I've needed one for a long time now!
I've also been wanting this for my tomatos. Our neighbors have some and I'm always so jealous!
Onto other things... Easton and Mason decided to become Elephants the other day. They wanted to be able to spray water so they taped straws to their noses. I told them how much it would hurt to suck water up their nose, so they decided to just use their mouths. They had a great time
(Yes Mason doesn't have pants on. He does have on a pull up.)
My Dad found this blow snake the other day too! It was the biggest one any of us have ever saw. We measured it and it was 5'6" long. It was 5" in diameter! My dad took it into my mom's class the next day, and into Easton's pre-school class. It ended up pooping all over the floor, but the kids all loved it! Easton was a hit at pre-school for having a brave Grandpa!
Yesterday we went down to Erik's Graduation. Easton took the next few pictures...
The lighting was horrible!
This is what Mason did the whole time.... Slept!
Erik getting his name called to recieve his diploma.
Easton taking self portraits...

Me and Erik! I'm so proud of my little brother! He's going to be an amazing teacher!

What to do on your day off?

1. Help Grandpa hook up wheel lines that have blown all over the farm.
2. See who is the most brave by looking down the hole until the water come shooting out.
3. Get to drive a 4-wheeler all by yourself, since all the adults are too busy.
5. Go exploring with your best friend.
6.Work together with your best friend to get the stubborn wheel lines back together.
7. Splash and wade in the freezing cold water!
8. Hold your shirt up "just in case" it happens to get splashed on too.
9. Love seeing all of everyone hard work finished.
10. Enjoy making awesome memories with your family and teaching your boys the joy of work.

Easter 2011

This Easter was such a blast. We went to a new place, which is always excited. We decided to camp from Thursday to Saturday. The wind blew like crazy on Thursday which made things difficult. I was worried about the boys getting cold, so we decided to camp in the trailer, while my parents, Erik and Troylynn camped in their Teepee's. Friday ended up being super nice, and the Easter bunny found us early that morning. The boys loved finding Easter Eggs!
Ha Has this picture cracks me up!!!! Quite the view! :)
We didn't get pictures of the boys actually finding their Easter Baskets. My battery died on my camera so I had to find a replacement! The Easter Bunny really surprised them and had a new wagon hiding in the trees. The wagon is an All-Terrain Wagon so it should do well on the farm :)
Going through their stash of goodies and toys!
Troylynn and Erik found a lizard. Easton wouldn't touch it, but Mason was brave enough to hold it! That's my boy!
We then packed up and headed out on fourwheelers to explore a canyon. On our ride there we saw a herd of Antelope. That was fun to see! This was a really cool rock that had a tunnel through it.
Some Indian writings we found.
A arch that the wind has formed through a rock. Perfect for Mason to look through!
Me, my boys, and Meah!
The boys hiding under a rock so they could try to scare me.
Easton and Mason found this rock and pointed out it looks like a turtle.
Grandpa wanted a picture on this cool rock, but I didn't want to take their helmets off again. I told them they didn't have to smile- Easton ended up looking ornery, and Mason smiled super hard!
Much better!!!!
The next morning we woke up to this!!! Everyone was a bit surprised! It melted fast and we ended up going out for a ride and a hike. We found some awesome spots and can't wait to go explore again!

Easter Eggs

Well this is my 2nd set of pictures, since my memory card decided to not save the first set! UGH! We always decorate eggs for Easter, so tonight was our last chance before heading out to go Eastering. The boys were so excited!Mason's hands were much more green when I took the 1st picture, then I had him wash them, and then had to take this one! He can't do anything without being messy! Easton and his favorite egg! He is such a ham!
Mason and his favorite egg! All he cared about was getting back to eating his string cheese!

Bubbles and Bouncing

Mason and Easton were invited to Brooklyn's birthday party. They had Easter Egg hunts, and played pin the tail on the rabbit. They were super excited to get to blow the bubbles the won at the party when they got home. I made this cake for a 1 year old's smash cake :) I hadn't ever done fondant mixed with frosting, and it actually worked okay. The inside was colored electric purple too! Grandpa and Grandma bought the boys a new trampoline for Easter- Justin broke the last one. Let's just say he wasn't as great of an olympic gymnast as he thought :)
Justin teaching the boys how to play "Crack the Egg"
Easton held on for a good amount of time. However being bounced high in the air is a little scary for a 5 year old!And you can't jump on the tramp with the boys if you don't end up in a wrestling match!
Easton ended up being bounced too much and almost threw up all over Justin. Poor kid! I was worried it would ruin the exprience. I was wrong! First thing this morning he was out on the tramp bouncing in his p.j.s!

Mistie D

Our family lost a wonderful, amazing, beautiful, caring woman last week. She is so special to everyone and every single one of us always felt her love. I have many memories of Mistie. From playing in their swimming pool, to jumping on the trap. I remember spending a lot of time down at Grandma's with all us cousins as she cut Popsicles and gave us pickles. She left behind an amazing husband and two sweet little boys. Because of this I am so grateful for eternal families.
Mistie, you are an inspiration to all of us. You showed us what true kindness and beauty is. You made me want to become a better person. You knew how to smile through it all, and to enjoy every day. We love and miss you!

Mistie D Myers Our sweet Mistie passed away at the age of 33, Thursday morning, April 7, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Mistie was born in Provo, Utah, to James and Delaina Nielsen. She grew up on their farm in Clawson, Utah, and enjoyed the friendships of her six sisters and two brothers. These friendships continued to grow into their adult years and she certainly counted each sister as a best friend. In 1997, Mistie married her sweetheart, Russ, in the Manti Temple and they lived in Provo while both attended college. During this time they were blessed with 2 sons, Derick, now age 10, and Calvin, age 8. Shortly after receiving their second son, Mistie was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. After subsequent chemotherapy and a life threatening infection, she was blessed with a miraculous recovery, putting the cancer into remission, until April 2010. Over the last 12 months, Mistie has fought valiantly, undergoing several treatments while also focusing on creating numerous memories and vacations with her husband and children. Mistie was kind and inclusive of everyone. She enjoyed the outdoors, from days on the desert to adventurous hiking. She also was a very talented interior designer and loved to paint and decorate. With all this, her greatest joy and desire was raising her young sons. We believe that now she will continue to watch over and guide them from above. Certainly the prayers of so many on her behalf were answered, as we had the opportunity to have so much additional time together. Words cannot express how much she was loved or how much she will be missed. We painfully grieve the loss of someone so special, but thank our Father in Heaven for the opportunity to have had her in our lives. She will be forever remembered until we hold her again.
