December Update!

I have had a horrible time at keeping this update, so here it is, all of it! The first of December we went and stayed in Salt Lake City with Justin's family. Each year they get everyone hotel rooms and we trade presents, go shopping, hangout, eat pizza, and stay up super late! We went to Temple Square this year, and had a great time. It wasn't very cold, and the kids loved being able to see the Christmas lights. I had a lot more pictures of the lights and the kids, but when we were trying to print them to send to Kyle (Justin's Brother that is on a mission) They got deleted... There were a few that didn't get deleted, thank goodness!

Mason was not a happy camper!
Our town has a little party each year. It is always something that the kids look forward to. Mason would not have anything to do with Santa all year long, so he didn't get to be in any of the picture. Easton made sure to tell Santa EVERYTHING that he wanted for Christmas!

I was busy getting ready for school one morning and looked out to check on Mason and he had come up with this SWEET way to watch T.V.. Meah was not sure about having him sit on top of her, but it worked for him!

Easton turned 4 this year! It still blows my mind that I have a 4 year old. He wanted a train cake, so that is what he got! Although he had a special request-- it had to be blue! So I colored the cake mix blue- which made everyone have blue mouths, but Easton loved it! Easton was really lucky because he got to got to Pre-School on his birthday, which meant he got to wear a crown and take treats for his class. That night we had a small party for him at home. Love ya Easton!

Easton goes to Pre-School 2 days a week. There are quite a few pre-schools around the county and each year they put together a little Christmas program. It was a lot of fun to go and watch. Easton was pretty embarrassed through most of it, but did sing a little. It was fun to see the things that he is learning in Pre-School and to hear the songs that he has been practicing at home!

Christmas this year was awesome! Both boys have been so excited for it for days!! Mason woke up 3 days before Christmas and asked, "See Santa brought?"! They actually got up at 7:30 which is amazing for them! They had a great time opening presents and was spoiled by everyone! Mason got so overwhelmed with all the presents ( I insist on wrapping everything) that the next morning he still had a few small things he hadn't opened (crayons, toothbrush, toothpaste)! They have loved playing with everything!

Other big news--My brother get engaged over Thanksgiving. Super excited to have Troylynn join our family! Easton and Mason absolutely adore her!

Hope that everyone had a great holiday and that everyone is doing well! I am hoping to get back into the swing of things-posting every week- lots of exciting things coming up in the next few weeks! That I will definitely want to share!

All Aboard!

This year we spent Thankgiving with Justin's family. On the way up there we stopped in Heber to ride the Polar Express. Easton and Mason love trains so this was a super fun experience. They had a great time eating cookies, drinking hot chocolate, singing songs, and visiting with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves! Both of the boys received a bell from Santa that they can both ring to remind them to believe. Easton has already taken his to show and tell! It was a super fun time and I would recommend it for everyone! We are going to make it into a yearly tradition in our home!

Funny story- Easton didn't know what the Polar Express was so before we left we watched to movie. As soon as the movie was over he turned to me and said, "Mom, I really don't want to ride that train, it does too many scary things!" I had to explain that it wasn't the same train and there would be nothing scary!
Justin's family joined with his Aunt's family for Thanksgiving dinner! It was a lot of fun to get to visit with everyone and to let our kids play together. We had a good time!

P.S. Mason is getting to be quite the talker, so I am going to add a section of Mason Quotes on the right under Easton's quotes...

All for one!

We had a great Halloween this year. Easton and Mason are OBSESSED with the Mouseketeers and wanted to be them for Halloween. Well since there are 3 boys in the family, I put 2 and 2 together (I guess it's 3 and 3) and thought it would be super cute. My mom helped to make the costumes and they turned out so cute! Easton got to wear his to a party at the pre-school earlier in the week. Friday night they had a carnival at the elementary that they boys loved. They love playing the games, and winning prizes. Tonight (like last year) we went on a town hay-ride where they take you trick or treating. It was a lot of fun and we were done in an hour! Nothing better than being done trick or treating before it gets cold. The boys made a haul and are on a total and complete sugar high right now!!! Happy Halloween!

Mason Turns 2!

I am so behind on doing pictures! Mason turned 2 on October 5th. On the 4th we had a birthday party for him since Erik was home. We had it at the High School where the kids could run around and not be squished in our front room. I had made Mason a racetrack cake. He was so excited about the cars and everything on it. He kept telling me thanks! We had a pinata for the kids, and they had a lot of fun taking turns hitting it. The next day we had dinner- Mason got to choose and he decided on Chicken Nuggets and French Fries-his favorite! We then let him open presents. It was so cute because a lot of the presents were in boxes. He opened his shoes and saw the box and exclaimed, "I got a box, cool!" It was so cute! We love Mason so much! He is the most stubborn child you will ever meet, but that brings so much entertainment into our lives. He is a hard working, daring, courageous, friendly, energetic, and loving little boy. We love you Mason and can't wait to see what this next year brings!

Lagoon

This post is way past due. I just haven't had the time to work on pictures like I have wanted. However, I am home with Easton, who is sick, and decided to get these done!
We went to Lagoon with Justin's Brother, Wife and Daughter-Bryan, Meghan, and BryLee- in late September. It was the first weekend of Frightmares, so we went as soon as the park opened and left before the scary people came out. On the way up to Farmington the boys were watching a movie. Mason kept complaining about his tummy hurting. He was whiny so I kept telling him to close his eyes. I tried holding his hand to calm him down and get him to relax. the next thing I know my arm is covered in puke, and it is still coming. We hurried and pulled over. Luckily I had left him in his p.j.s so he would be comfortable. We got things cleaned up and stopped at the nearest store. I ran in and got another pair of clothes just in case, Dramamine, and some Pepto. Mason was acting fine by the time I came out so I just gave him the medicine and we were on our way.
Well the Dramamine knocked him out!! We got to Lagoon, got him out of the car, changed his diaper, got him dressed, and put into the stroller with out him even flinching! We got into the park, and he still was out, so Easton and BryLee went on a few rides. Finally I felt bad that he was sleeping through everything, and made him wake up. The rest of the day he was in a haze. He didn't show any emotion, had a serious look on his face, and just went along with everything (as you can tell from the pics).
Mason loved the "egg drop" ride. It is just like the rocket, only little kid size. We rode it twice and he wanted to go again! Easton loved everything, especially the rides that you control! They were so brave and never complained about going on any of the rides.
Easton asks everyday almost when we get to go back! It was so much fun! Can't wait for next summer to get to go again!

P.S. Mason turned 2! Hopefully I get those pictures done quickly!

Trafalga

I am finally getting around to doing these pictures! I love the one of Easton and Mason in front of the castle. It shows Eastons true excitement! Also the one with Easton holding the ball was right after he made his hole-in-one! He was so excited and jumping up and down! It was a great time!
*** Deer story-I had a chance opening morning at a HUGE buck. I kept having a hard time getting a good shot. Finally he was in a good position so I went to take the shot. I pulled the trigger and click- only the cap went off! I was so mad! But that is just my luck. That night I had P.T.C. and my ESL class, so I couldn't hunt. Then next morning I got up with the boys and my dad and started driving. We weren't seeing anything and I was getting discouraged! Soon we saw a few and drove up to them. There was a 2 point that I thought about shooting then this 3x4 walked out. they got nervous and ran. For some reason the came back towards us. I got ready but then noticed he was standing in front of something I couldn't shoot! Then I went to shoot again after he stepped forward, and there was someone driving past in a truck behind him. So again, I had to wait! Finally I pulled the trigger and he jumped straight in the air! I was so excited. He ran then stopped and just stood. I was hurrying to get reloaded (luckily I got it reloaded by myself, I have a hard time doing it for some reason). I shot again, this time I knew I had hit him because he was running and kicking his legs. I told my dad, I think I hit him in the back leg by the way he is running. Soon he went down close to where I shot him. I got to him and I had hit him right through the vitals! I was so excited! My first muzzle loader deer!! Now I just got to try the Archery again so I will have shot with all three weapons! P.S. If anyone has any good jerky recipes let me know! We butchered him our self, and now I'm not sure what to do with all the meat!

I still have Lagoon pictures I need to work on!
