July 2013

We love the pool.  Especially when all of our cousins come with!

Our septic tank was put in. Justin worked for hours digging the trenches.  Then Justin and my dad spent a lot more hours filling it with gravel, leveling it, and laying the pipe.  I was glad when it was over.   They were super deep and narrow trenches. Made me very nervous!

 More pool time! :)
Our doors were installed, just for us to have to take them down so we could paint them.
I love making my kids shower in the sprinklers.   Dual purpose... water the fields and clean my kids!
We spent 4th of July in Huntington for the parade and fair after.  It was a fun day.

Earlier that morning of the 4th, I had to have the vet come and put my cow down.  I've had her since I was in Jr. High and her health and been deteriorating.  She finally got to where when she would lay down she couldn't get back up.   We thought she was maybe pregnant but wasn't sure.   So one evening I was down with her, and pushed on her stomach and a calf kicked me back. It was a cool feeling but I was very worried for her and the calf.  After talking with the vet, we decided we needed to put the cow down, and immediately deliver the calf.  Even if the calf was premature it would have a better chance at survival than having been laid on for days on end.  It was actually a really cool thing to watch.  That calf was out of her in a matter of 30 seconds.   We named him Indy, because he was born on the 4th.   Poor thing never saw a cow, so he assumed he was a human.  He would maul you to death and lick you as much as he could!  He did really well, and I loved that my kids had the responsibility of taking care of him!

 Swayzie loves her babies!

Erik and Brianna had their little girl. They named her Chloe. The kids were so in love with her, especially Sway!
Finished painting our house.   Luckily we have some awesome family that came to our rescue. My parents spent tons of time down helping, Greg and Jessica pulled a few all nighters painting but generator light, and Bryan and Meghan drove down and back in one day to help.

We got a few cats to start helping with the mouse problem.  We were catching 9 or 10 in a night.
 Tile was put down!
We went to the Rodeo in Castle Dale. Swayzie loved watching the horses and cows.
Our power was finally installed, after months and months of waiting.
We went and picked apricots from Helen Wright.   The boys thought it was a lot of fun.  We made jam and fruit roll ups with it.
These boys love to fix things.  Easton was helping mason fix his tire.  I laugh about the difference in their skin color.  Mason tans sooo dark!
Our cabinets were put in. Love the dark colors!

 Exhausted girl
Meah getting close to having her babies.  So fat, and miserable in the heat.
