The first part of January we went to a National Wrestling tournament in Heber City.  We took Friday off of work because that is when the boys had to wrestle.  They were pretty excited and it was a huge event.  They had 14 mats going at the same time.  Talk about chaos.  It was a lot of fun. The Christiansen's were there and the boys all had fun supporting and cheering each other on.   There was a lot of down time in between matches so the boys entertained themselves with their DS.  Monte and Easton are in the same grade and really have became good friends.
Swayzie spent a lot of the time napping.  It was so loud in there that it was a miracle that she could even sleep.
Mason ended up wrestling 4 times and he only lost once! He did such a great job, and was so quick with his shots.  It was a great self-esteem booster for him.
Easton ended up taking 4th, but he did such a great job.  He worked hard, and learned so much.  We are so proud of the boys and all the work they put into wrestling!
I love mornings when Swayzie wakes up happy.  It doesn't happen very often!

Getting all ready for church.  I love that her hair is long enough that I can do fun styles.
The boys and Meah wanted in on the pictures.  Love all my kids!
Swayzie has found the computer.  She will sit at it for a long time. She wiggles the mouse, pokes a few buttons, wiggles the mouse...
Mason has been wanting to grow a mullet since one of our students had one earlier this year.  He finally let me get it cut into a faux hawk/mullet look.  It fits his personality perfectly.  He was excited because the back is finally long enough that it curls up in the back all on it's own!
Swayzie loves her dolls.  She found a blanket and climbed up in the rocker to love her baby.

Justin and I celebrated our 9th anniversary!   He was so sweet and surprised me at work with 9 roses.   Love him so so much!
Watching the Lady Spartans play some Friday night basketball!!!  We love our Spartans!
This last weekend we went to another tournament in Juab.  It was a smaller tournament, but still a lot of fun. A lot of Emery kids went so it was fun to watch everyone and have the kids cheer each other on.  Bryan and Meghan came down and supported the boys.
Mason took 3rd place in this one.  He worked so hard, and learned a lot.
Easton took 2nd!   It was great confidence booster for him.  He has learned how to cross-face people and he is quite good at it!
Grandma celebrated her birthday yesterday and Grandpa bought her cupcakes.  All the kids got one, but Swayzie really, really enjoyed hers.   It was everywhere!!!

We have another tournament this weekend.  The Beehive Brawl in Richfield.  Easton has decided he wants to be in the lower weight class, so he is really watching what he eats and weighing himself constantly.

Part 5-2012

Mason turned 5 this year.  For his birthday he wanted to go to the football game.  The next day we had a huge party for him at the Mayor's Park.  We played baseball, and visited.  Grandpa and Grandma Thornley, Alicia, Tiffiny, Tacie, Kaylee, Linlie, and Kim even drove all the way here for it.

Unlce Erik got married to a girl named Brianna. We went up to Hyrum for their wedding.  We are so happy for them.  On the way home we stopped at Scheels, which is a new store in Draper.  It is awesome. They have a lot of fun things to do, and placed to take pictures, and even a ferris wheel!
Swayzie gets to come with me to school everyday for about a 1/2 hour.  Until she goes with whoever is watching her that day.  Either Alicia or Kristy take her.  I've started watch Addy and Sky since TedAnn and Bruce left on their mission.
Poor Annie got into a Porcupine while duck hunting with Easton and Justin. Justin thought he would be funny and tell me it was a porcupine when he thought it was brush stickers.  Turns out it was really a porcupine. She had at least 40 quills in her.   They didn't seem to bother her though.
Halloween was crazy this year.  Poor Mason had been so sick.  He was having super bad stomach pains for about 3 weeks.  It got really bad on Halloween, so Justin rushed him to the clinic while I got the kids ready.  He ended up getting x-rays and blood work.  He came and toughed it out for the truck-or-treat at the Elementary then went home and crashed.  We never figured out what was causing all the problems.

Can't believe Miss Swayzie Kate is one!  She seemed to turn into a toddler over night.  She is in to everything and loves to make people laugh. You can see the mischief shining out of her eyes.  She had an icecream party at Grandma's classroom with the cousins, and had a lot of fun being the center of attention.

Helping get ready for Thanksgiving Dinner.  We had fun down at Kristy's house with all the cousins.  We did Black Friday that night, and took Swayzie with. Justin only got hit in the head one time!
The Sunday after Thanksgiving we went and cut a Christmas Tree. It was so much fun walking and looking for one.  We found a really pretty one too!

Swayzie loves being a mommy.  She is constantly carrying a doll around and you'll see her share her binkie, bottle, or even wrap it up in a blanket/coat/dress.  She love to pat their backs and give them a lot of kisses.
Easton and Mason joined the Emery All-Stars traveling wrestling team.  They have gone to two tournament already.  Mason had a wrestle a kid that only knew how to choke. He ended up with a big bruise across his neck from it.  But they both did awesome!

Swayzie went in for her 6 month check up for her tubes.  Everything looked great and they shouldn't fall out for another 6 months.
For Easton's 7th birthday he chose to go to another tournament.  It was a lot of fun, and we are all loving wrestling.   We went to Chuck-e-Cheese for lunch.  Grandma and Grandpa Thornley, Kim, Erik, Brianna, Van, and Grandpa Vicki came along too.  On the way home we stopped and went to the Festival Of Lights in Spanish Fork.
We kept telling Easton we had another present for him but couldn't take it into Chuck-e-Cheese.  When we got home he opened this and was super happy.  He is learning how to shoot it.
Mason had his last Pre-School Christmas program.  He did a great job, and I could hear him singing all the songs.   It's crazy to think he'll be in Kindergarten next year!

Christmas P.J.s on Christmas Eve.  Easton got sick in the middle of the night, but was feeling better in the morning so he could open presents.
Swayzie loved the stuffed Giraffe that Aunt Dana and Uncle Tim sent! Plus she got a lot of dolls, and girly toys, shoes, and clothes!
Easton and Mason got headgear that they will need at an upcoming tournament.   They also each got a 3ds.  They have loved them!
We had the Thornley Christmas Party in Salt Lake.  We went Ice Skating. It was a lot of fun and the boys really enjoyed it.  We stayed in a hotel that had a water slide, and then went to Discovery Gateway and the City Creek Center.  It was a fun weekend.

Swayzie loves her nap time, and lately will grab her blanket, climb up on the couch or lay on the floor and go to sleep.
2012 was a great year, but I am really looking forward to 2013.  Our house will be started and finished, Easton will turn 8 and Mason will go to Kindergarten. We have been so blessed this year with everything. I am so thankful for my little family, and the joy they bring into my life daily.  I so glad we have great jobs, that we love.  Happy New Year!
