INTRODUCING...

SWAYZIE KATE THORNLEY

Swayzie was born on 11/6/2011 at 7:15 p.m.   Weighing 8 lbs 1 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.  She is absolutely beautiful and we are all so in love with her!

The surgery went smoothly (after 5 tries to get an IV in me, lots of bruises, and extreme shakes).   Turned out I was in labor when I showed up, I had been having contractions most of the afternoon.   For some reason after I got my IV, I started shaking uncontrollably.  Justin was so sweet to help me, and comfort me.  I really married the most amazing guy ever.

My Dr. had her delivered within 10 minutes! I heard her cry and couldn't keep the tears from coming. It was the most amazing sound.  Justin had stepped up to watch the surgery and came back to where I could see him and exclaimed, "She has so much hair!"   They wrapped her up and I was able to look at her for a few minutes before they took her to the nursery.

I was left in recovery all alone for a good hour and a half! My nurse kept telling me to get some sleep, but I was so anxious to see her.  I had the cell phones in the room with me, and could hear them going off (everyone was waiting to hear any news).  I didn't know anything, I couldn't move to get the phones, and Justin was on a completely different floor with Swayzie.  Ann finally called my room and I was able to tell them that she was born, and that was about all I knew!

I finally was able to be moved down to the mother/baby floor, but had to go through paperwork/nurse stuff before I could see her.   I finally was able to see little Swayzie around 10:00.   We hadn't named her yet, but as soon as I saw her, I knew she was supposed to be Swayzie.  Justin felt the same way.

Justin had been able to stay in the nursery with her the entire time. I'm so glad he was able to have those precious hours with her, and was able to bond with his daughter.

Pretty soon the boys, my mom, Ann, Lexi, and Trevor came up to see Swayzie. The boys loved her immediately!

Swayzie is such a good baby. She is a great eater, and sleeper. She is doing great at her night times now (was really messed up the first few nights, but I knew she would be).  I actually have to wake her up to get her to eat.

We love her so much, and can't imagine life without her.   Mason has taken right over in being her protector. Anytime she cries he sings to her.  Easton is the big helper, and is always getting things for me that I need.  Justin has been such a huge help, and I was so sad when he had to go back to work. I love him so much!

Heritage Days

We always love going to Heritage Days.  The boys look forward to it, and I love seeing people from high school, and Justin loves going and getting apples from The Forbidden Fruit!

We always have to do the rides, and let the boys get some energy out. We brought the wagon this year and it was so nice!!! No more crying about being too tired to walk!!!  That night, Justin finished baling hay for my dad, so we watch the fireworks from the field. A lot of neighbors were lighting them off, and it was actually a lot of fun!  This was the first year it was legal to have the "Good" ones:)

Father's Day

For Father's Day the boys made these totally awesome ties in Primary.  Justin had to wear both of them to church on Father's Day.  The boys were so proud of them and thought it was so much fun!! They sure love their dad, and love playing any kind of  "Super Hero" games with him.    I'm so lucky to have Justin and so greatful that he is such an amazing father:)

Library Days

This summer we were able to go to Ferron City's Library days!  It was a lot of fun, and the kids loved it.   Each week was a different theme and there were activities to go along with it.  They had fun making things and reading the different books. We were able to take Ashlynn, Addison, and Skylee with us one week while Bret and Kristy were in Alaska. They had a good time too!

It was also a lot of fun since one of my High School friends was visiting for a few weeks in Ferron and was able to come and bring her daughter.  It was great to catch up!

T-Ball

Easton and Mason were both able to play T-Ball this year!!!  Mason was actually under the age limit, but Justin voluteered to be a coach, so they let him play too. The boys thought it was great for their dad to be able to pitch to them in the games!
Mason spent a lot of his time cry :(    All the kids always run for the ball, and since he was the shortest out there, he was always one of the last to make it.   He would end up frustrated, and crying.   Poor kid!!! He did end up getting to get the ball a few times, and throw it back to the pitcher!

Easton did a lot better this year, and didn't spend as much time playing in the dirt.  He loved playing catcher and got some good hits!

Both boys had a great time, and it is always a hoot to watch!!!  Can't wait for next year so we can do it all again!

FOREVER...

Holy Cow!!! It's been so long since I have updated this!!!

I'm so annoyed with myself that I let it go over two months.  So much has happened, life has been crazy- which is why I haven't updated.

I need to get caught up, and I need to do it soon, before things really get hectic with a new baby coming.

I'm going to try to post every night for the next few nights, and see if I can get back into the swing of things:)

IT'S A GIRL!

We are so excited to be welcoming a baby girl into our family!!! We can't wait to see how she looks like and to meet her. I can't wait to kiss her sweet little nose:) I went for my gender ultrasound on the 24 of June. The doctor was in somewhat of a hurry, but he said he thought he maybe say boy parts. Then he said that he couldn't say for sure what the baby was so to schedule another ultrasound in 2 months! I felt like crying!! I would be almost 30 weeks by then! Justin and I decided we couldn't wait any longer so we went to an ultrasound clinic in the South Towne Mall. As soon as she looked, she said, "I'm 100% sure she's a girl"! We are so excited!!! I've been buying girl clothes like crazy, and so has my mom :) The boys are so excited to have a baby sister!

YAY!!!

Justin is now an Emery Spartan!!!! He is going to be the new FFA teacher at Emery High starting this year! We are so grateful for this chance, and feel very blessed for things to have worked out the way that they have. I'm excited to have him close to home, and the boys are excited to think they'll be able to have him as a teacher eventually:) Time to bring on the BLACK AND GOLD!

Justin's 27th Birthday

We had our ultrasound to find out if we're having a girl or boy on Justin's Birthday. On the way to Payson, I thought Mason had fallen asleep and it was so cute. I took a picture and then he started laughing. He is sure such a tease! I'll do another post telling about the whole ultrasound story. After our Dr. Appointment, we went to the Provo Mall, Cabelas, and the South Towne Mall. We then met Bryan and Meghan at the Residence Inn in downtown Salt Lake (Super Nice). Justin wanted to eat at Joes so that's where we headed. Of course, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to sing/humiliate him in public!
He was such a good sport!
The kids had planned to sleep together on the pullout couch. (We had a two room suite). But they weren't going to sleep and were just messing around. We finally banned them to their own rooms, and poor Mason cried for probably an hour and half for BryLee. It was a short night!
We got up the next morning and had breakfast and the dads took the kids swimming. My boys sure do love Sawyer.
Cars 2 had been released the previous day so we went to watch it. It was a super cute movie, but the only kid that watched it was Easton. Mason and BryLee both fell asleep during it. Like I said it was a short night!
We had a fun time, and Justin ended up getting golf clubs. Millsite just opened up their back 9 holes, and he's super excited to go try them out!

Liar, Liar...

Mason did something naughty, so in turn he ended up being GROUNDED from the DS. He was not a happy camper, but knew that if he played it he would be punished for even long. Well as the evening went on I noticed that Mase had disappeared- you know where it gets to be a little tooo quiet? I call for him, and he came from his bedroom. He acted all calm, and yawned and said he was back trying to go to sleep, cause he was "just so so so tired." I thought, "Wow, that's amazing, that he'll put himself to bed." So I sent him back to go to sleep, thinking, "Heck yes!!!" Well about a 1/2 hour later I went to see if he had actually fallen asleep yet and I found this.... YEP. He is totally playing the DS, and had been for at least 45 minutes!!! I caught him big time, and he was soo surprised. He did mention that he had really fooled me! Little Stinker! And yes, his punishment went for an extra day (:

Bird Feeders

The boys wanted to make some bird feeders (even though it's summer and there is plenty of food around). So when we walked to the waterfall, we brought back some nice pinecones. We then covered them in PB and rolled them in bird seed. They boys had a blast doing it and getting messy!
Easton has since then made a bird house. I need to take some pictures of it and post too:)
P.S. I'm 1/2 way through my pregnancy, and I found out today, the baby LOVES salt and vinegar chips!!!

Waterfall and Haystacks

The other day ( June 2) we decided to go for a hike up to see this waterfall that is above the narrows. Easton insisted on taking his drawing book so he could draw his own picture of the waterfall.
The boys had a lot of fun and loved splashing in the water and exploring around on the cliffs. We also took all 3 of our dogs, who had a blast too!
It was a good time. After we got home a haystack fell on my dad and fractured his left hip. He ended up having to go to the U of U hospital on the 4th and have surgery. They put in a metal plate and 6 screws. He is home from the Hospital now but he can't put any weight on that leg for 10 weeks. We're so glad that he is okay.

May...

My birthday was on the 20th! As soon as Mason woke up he told me Happy Birthday. My mom's class sang to me, the Girls Choir sang, and my 7th hour sang to me too! When I got home from work my dad and Mason had decorated the house for me. Mason wanted my dad to draw Princess Peach to represent me... Justin made me my favorite dinner.. Pork Chops! They were soo good! My mom and the boys made and decorated my favorite cake Funfetti! I was so spoiled. Justin's gave me a new necklace, and he promised me to go get family picture done from lady from Wayne County! My parents gave me a Cricut that cuts Fondant! It's soo cool. I can't wait to try it out! Erik and Troylynn gave me a new watch that is super cute. ---- Mason has been being really careful with his cast, trying to keep it dry and clean. Well it's been raining here like crazy, so everything is muddy. Mason and Easton helped my dad fill the Pivot Tracks with rocks one day, and Mase decided to try to jump a huge ditch.. Well he ended up looking like this... Cast and All... I have a new niece! (: Sawyer was born on the 23rd and weighed 9lbs 3 oz. She is so beautiful! We were able to go to Tremonton for Memorial Weekend and see Sawyer and all the family. We had a great time!
Justin took the 4-wheeler and he and Bryan went riding-in the rain and mud! They had a great time. Meghan and I just laughed at how they were so giddy like little kids. They spent a lot of time in the backyard with their dad building a jump and filming each other! -----
On the way home from Tremonton we went to the Aquarium with Tiffiny and Trevor. The kids had a great time, and loved it! Easton was pretty scared of some of things, but Mason and Tacie were fascinated with everything!
The Jelly Fish are my favorite! I would love to have a room in my house full of these glowing! It's so relaxing!
Seahorses are sooo weird! We watched them for a long time too.
Lion Fish... Mason kept asking why they were soo sad looking. :(
Easton pulling weird faces! There were so many cool animals in this one!
Easton was most excited for the penguins. We watched them for a long time. We didn't get any good pictures of them, they swim way too fast! Easton and Mason decided to measure up to the penguins...
Of course my boys HAVE to have a new stuffed animal (: They get one at every animal thing we go to, it seems! Mason named his Gecko- Long Tonguey and Easton named his Turtle- Toga
On the way home, I had a Dr. Appointment. The boys were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. We scheduled the ultrasound to find out what it is for June 24th. Justin's Birthday! We are so excited, and I'm counting down the days!
---
Bryan has always called Mason "May May". Mason has told us he doesn't like it, so we told him he just need to let Bryan know. Well he finally did, and this is how his conversation went....
Mason-Bryan my name isn't May May it's Mason
Bryan- Oh well can't I call you May May anyways?
Mason- (trying to be nice) Well I guess, but it's just kinda weird!
He for sure lets you know what he thinks!
____
Grandma Kristie was holding Mason and asking if he was excited to go back to his house and see his chickens, and dogs, and sleep in his own bed. Mason turned to her and said, "Ya, and I'm excited to see my usual grandparents." He's just started using the word usual to describe everything!
