Easter 2009

We had a lot of fun this year for Easter. Bryan, Meghan, BryLee, and Kyle came down and we went camping. It was fun to get to show them the desert. The weather was really nice until Friday night/Saturday morning. We did a lot of visiting, and catching up. We went on a really fun hike, where the kids played in the sand, and climb on every rock they could find. The Easter bunny found us, and the kids all had fun playing with their shovels, and kites, and eating lots of candy! We had a really fun time, and can't wait to get to go camping again!

Newest Members of the Family

Ummm Tisha is making me become part of the blog community so here we go... Yesterday we were in Price and we happened to go into IFA. They had some of their baby chickens in there and the boys fell in love with them. We have been wanting to get Easton a pet that so he could have responsibility, anyways we decided to get a few. They are having so much fun with them. I really hope that they dont die from too much love and petting! He has already been teaching them how to fly by picking them up and putting them on top of their water bottle so they can "practice flying" off of the bottle, pretty funny. Easton also calls them "his babies" and he "doesn't want them to grow up" He is such a funny kid. Mason also loves to wear pullups on his head. We put a few on just to be funny but he loves it! He will wear a diaper helmet for hours. Crazy kid!

Saturday Fun... Again...

Once again, we had an amazing weekend. I decided I wanted to show Justin and the boys the really neat slot canyons. Justin has never seen them, but has heard about them, so he agreed. We went to Little Wild Horse Canyon. The boys loved climbing up the rocks and going in the narrow slot parts. Easton was such a great helper, and would hold Mason's hand through the tight bends. Mason is so lucky to have such a good big brother. We didn't hike the entire loop, but ended up walking for a little over 4 hours. We got to see some really neat parts of the canyon, and it was a good time. It was perfect weather, and it was so nice to be outside. It is amazing to see what water can do over time. It was a great weekend, and I can't wait to go and do it all again! If you have never been I would highly recommend it! AMAZING!!

Obsessed?

Easton and Mason LOVE Little Einstiens. I think they may be a little obsessed though! Easton will start singing the theme song randomly. No matter where we are. Some people recognize it and laugh, others just look at us like we are crazy (which we are). Mason loves to do the patting thing. Whenever we get them in their carseats to head out somewhere, Mason will start saying, "pat, pat, pat, pat" then he will raise his hand and scream! Easton follows along with, "We need more power!". Then they shake their "Whole Body"! It's so funny what they come up with!

P.S. If you have never watched the show, you probably think we are crazy along with everyone else!

Coal Mine Bench

Today we went up the canyon behind our house on four wheelers. We went up to a favorite place, and went for a short walk. The boys had so much fun climbing on rocks and playing in the dirt. Just look at Mason's face and you can tell how much he enjoyed it! It was great to get out in our backyard and enjoy the warm weather and each other. Justin and I were talking about how we are realizing that it is so important to spend time together as a family as much as possible. Not only for the memories, but because of the bonds you make when you are out doing things. I hope we can always remember this! By the way, the picture of me and Justin with all sky behind us, Easton took it!! Pretty good skills I would say! And yes... Easton is striking a pose on the rock. I think he has watched too many half time shows at High School sports! Also Easton is into this phase where his tongue has to be out, or his mouth wide open for a picture. What can you do, other than laugh and take the picture. Like I said memories...

Saturday Fun!

This weekend we decided to go and do something outside. It has been getting so warm, and we have been gone for so many weekends we couldn't just sit around. We decided to head out on the desert. Justin woke up Saturday morning and went with my dad up to Joes Valley snowmobiling. As soon as he got home we loaded up the truck and headed out! Easton was so excited to go play in the sand. He kept on asking if we were going to the beach. We found a nice little place and ate lunch and just let the boys dig. Soon we started in on the fun. Justin and I would make the boys a sandcastle and they would hurry to stomp on it and knock it down. We then walked to the wash and let the boys wash their hands off in the water. It was a great day and we had so much fun together! We love spending time with each other and enjoy each others company and memories we make! Now we can't wait for Easter to get to go camping...

State Basketball

This last weekend we went up to watch our school basketball teams play at the State Tournament. We stayed in a way nice Hotel Suite. They boys always love staying places and getting to swim. The pictures of Easton at the pool are so funny. He kept standing on the fountains that sprayed a stream of water into the pool Once he pulled his foot off and the stream of water shot him right in the face. He then straddled it, and told us, "Look guys, its shooting up my butt!"! He is so funny! We just laughed and laughed at him. On Saturday we got to meet up with Bryan, Meghan, and BryLee. It was great to get to see them. I also got a new ring for our 5 year anniversary. I love it! I tried taking pictures of it, but they are all way too blurry. But it is gorgeous. It's always fun to get away. I love how it brings our family closer together, and gives us a lot of new memories.
