#26

How old do you think dad is?
Easton- 8
Mason- 3
Justin turned 26 this year!!! He always teases me about being older, but if you ask the boys who is smarter they always say mommy! So I guess wisdom comes with age:)
For Justin's birthday we went up Rock Canyon and had cookout with family and friends. It was a lot of fun to sit around and visit with everyone. I had classes all week, so I wasn't home during the day, but Justin met me in Huntington and we went and ate at Cindi's Cafe. It was really yummy!
Love you Justin, more than you will ever know!

This is an update for the last few weeks.... We have gone to the pool a few times and hope to go a lot more!!!I love this picture. Mason finally has gotten the courage to go down the green slide by himself!! He is so PROUD! The boys have been enjoying the warm weather and being able to play with their toys that they got for Christmas. It's a lot easier to dig in dirt and gravel than it is in snow! We are in the process of building a swingset for them to have as well.
Justin had to go to Vernal for 3 days to help students with Stockshow. We went last year and had a blast so we were super excited to go again. We told the boys we would go swimming, however they were SO naughty that we didn't take them! I think Justin was more disappointed than the boys were. We had a good time though, and look forward to next year!
The other morning my dad came and woke us up to come help pull a cow out of the mud. Stupid thing was trying to eat the cattails and sunk!! We ended up have to dig underneath her to tie a rope around her. I drove the backhoe to pull her out while Justin and my Dad worked on her. She was pretty exhausted after getting out and didn't want to get up. She quickly changed her mind after she got a nice volt of electricity from the cattle prod!
Easton had his last t-ball game. He is pretty sad he has to wait a whole year to play again. Easton was pretty excited that he got a trophy though!
Easton and Mason wanted me to take pictures of them with Meah...
Justin and I went to St. George for the weekend to go to Tuachan. We went and watched Tarzan. It was amazing!! We enjoyed every bit of it. Love the set, and the location! We always promise the boys that we will get them something if they are good for Grandpa and Grandma. We ended up buying this cute toy from Target and the boys have had a blast playing in it!
** We caught the Blow Snake again... We hauled it away again... We took it clear out to the motocross track... It came back... AGAIN... Seriously that is one motivated snake!
** While driving on the way home from Provo Mason starts telling Knock, Knock Jokes that make no sense. Justin starts laughing at him and Mason tells Justin, "Dad don't be so serious. It's just a joke!" Uhm ya!

This week has been super busy! Between the funeral for Gardner, and getting ready for my first coupon class, I am so ready for a break! Good thing that this week we are heading to Vernal to go to Stock Show for 3 days!
This week Easton and Mason's cow had a baby. They were both super excited and whenever we go down to feed they have to find it, pet it, and make sure that it is okay. Justin and I took the boys to the Musuem. At first they were super scared and kept begging us to go home. They weren't too sure of the dinosaur bones! But after some persuasion and encouragement they decided that it wasn't too bad. They especially liked the part where they got to dig for dinosaur bones.
Mason has been such a stinker to get to sleep. He stays in his crib and everything, but he is constantly needing a drink, something to eat, a hug, a toy to sleep with, or he is just jumping on the bed. The other night I was losing my patience really fast and told him that if he didn't stop jumping I was going to throw his crib in the garbage. Mason quickly muttered under his breath to Easton, "Mommy and Daddy aren't strong enough to throw my crib in the garbage." Honestly, what are we going to do with him!?!

Easton had his 2nd t-ball game this week. It went very well, and was very cold... As always he is always doing something crazy. Although this time, he did catch quite a few ground balls and he has improved on his running greatly! This was my last week of school, Justin on the other hand, finished last week. It was so nice to have him home to help with the boys. I know that they loved playing with him. Justin even took them to Richfield for the day while they were waiting for our fourwheeler to be fixed. Easton came home and told me he had a lot of fun.
Justin and I also helped chaperone the graduation party. It was fun to hang out with the other teachers and husbands, and watch the students having fun.
Saturday we went out with Jessica, Ty, Trace, and Tacey to Cedar Mountain. I hadn't been out there for quite a long time. I forgot how beautiful it is. The kids all had fun roasting hotdogs, and exploring.
I love these guys:) Isn't she the cutest EVER?!?
Last Thursday (20th) was my birthday. I had a very amazing day. The whole faculty sang to me after lunch. Supposedly my face turned red, but I don't ever believe anything my students say. After I got home I took pictures of my cousin and his cute family. That evening Justin cooked me dinner of crab and BBQ porkchops and then suprised me with tickets to Tarzan in Tuachan. I can't wait to go see it!
Also, we have had a Blow Snake that has been wandering around the yard. We finally caught it and my cousins took it home with them. I didn't want it getting into my chicken coop. Anyways that was a week ago, and yesterday it showed back up. This thing had to have crawled close to 2 miles and crossed a main highway to get back here. Now I have to find it and haul it even farther away.

T-Ball

Easton had his first T-Ball game last night. He is on Team Red, many of his teammates are friends from Pre-school- which may or may not be a good thing-! He actually hit the ball both times with the coach pitching it to him! He needs to work on his running. He also needs to work on spending more time paying attention and less time filling his mitt full of dirt:)
This picture is for you Uncle Bryan... No matter how hard we tried his hat kept turning to the side.
And this little guy kept yelling, "Easton you gotta play harder!" Because you know, Mase is Easton's biggest fan! This video is of Easton hitting the homerun to get all the runners in:) Yes, we know he takes the longest path possible everytime to get to 2nd base. AND Yes, we know we need to work on running :) But all that matters is that he is having fun!!!

Downs and Ups

This week has been a crazy one. One with some downs and ups.
Tuesday morning my dad came home from doing chores and said that my horse Raja had colic. This isn't unusual. She does it quite often. She is ALWAYS better within a few hours. I got ready and headed to work, and on my way looking into the corral and everything looked okay. My dad checked on her from the house a few times during the day and couldn't see her laying down anywhere so he figured everything was okay. I came home from school and looked over in the corral and had the thought "Raja is going to die really soon". I blew it off, and thought to myself, "ya right, she if fine." I got home and was just going to stay home instead of helping with chores because it was blowing pretty hard. Erik called me as soon as they got down to the horses and told me I better hurry down cause Raja was really bad. She has been dealing with the colic all day. She looked horrible. She had literally beat herself trying to get rid of the pain. We tried and tried to get her up to walk and she just didn't have the strength, she couldn't even hold her eyes open. After some extreme coaxing and a blessing from my dad and Erik, she jumped up, and I walked her around for 30 seconds maybe and then she was down again. This happened a few times. Then it seemed like she was starting to be make some improvement. We could get her up and she would stand, I had to literally hold her head up for her but at least she was standing. I was talking to her and telling her that she was my princess, and that she had to stick around for Easton to ride. She looked right in my eyes and started walking. She was trying so hard. Then it all just went down hill. She couldn't stand, she was trying so hard to, then she just died. It was awful... She was honestly more stubborn than a mule. She never did what you wanted, and up to the last minute of her life she was being stubborn. She was trying so hard to fight death. She was my first horse, and the one that taught me how to ride. Because of her I love riding, and I have a great passion for horses. She was one amazing horse, and one that is going to be greatly missed. This is with my dad, grandpa and Raja Me and Raja Star Erik with Raja Star and Gallant Guy
Me and My Baby
Easton had T-Ball practice this week. It was so fun to watch! My side honestly hurt from laughing so hard! If you want to have some good entertainment, let me know and I'll tell you when they play:)
Saturday Justin and I went and got my Bountiful Basket early in the morning and then came home and worked in the garden and around the yard. Then we packed lunches and headed up the canyon to have some fun! I love just being able to go in to our backyard for some good entertainment. They boys and fun eating cupcakes, hiking, and climbing rocks.
I know they aren't looking at me, but they were so proud to have their coats around their waist.
I am loving getting fresh fruit every week! I decided to make something with the Mango and found this awesome recipe. Go HERE to see the recipe. Anyways, this is some very yummy, easy salsa!
