August 2011

This month we moved the boys into their own room.   We had to make room for a cradle.  The were both really excited.  However, Easton still ends up in our bed every night!
Justin went archery hunting and shot a 2X3 on the opening day.   The boys were super excited to go and see it, and help their dad.

Easton started Kindergarten.  Of course he had to wear a Mario shirt.  Funny Kid!  He was so excited to meet his teacher, Mrs. Winn, and see who was in his class.  Some of his favorite friends are in his class with him.  Brooklyn, Carson, Emalee, and a new friend named Luke.

Last of July

HA HA.. Not sure why, but I love it!!!!
The boys love riding with Daddy!!! Especially when he pops wheelies!!!
Orangeville parade on the 24th.  We love parades!!!
Mason tried to catch a fish, but it was too slippery.  Easton wouldn't even try to!

At the fireworks in Cleveland!!! We love the fireworks there.  Meah even enjoyed it!

I FLY

I know I have tons of catch up to do, but having 3 kids is really kicking my butt!!! This first picture is of my sweet boys. Mason had to get a shot from having a wierd stomach bug.  Easton was felt so bad about him getting a shot in the butt, that he asked me to take him to the store to get Mason a toy. Easton picked out this cute elephant. Mason loved it, and it helped him feel better too!
For Valentines, I bought Justin a pass to go do indoor skydiving, rock climbing and surfing. We finally used it in July and went with Bryan and Meghan.  We had a great time and Justin had a blast skydiving!

We then went rock climbing. They let the little kids do it, and they had a blast. Easton was so good at it, a complete natural! Justin did great at climbing up the biggest wall.  It looked like a great workout!

Last was surfing.  Easton wanted to do it so bad, and he did!! He did a great job, and only crashed/cried a few times!!  The pictures are blurry, but they were really moving fast!

We can't wait to go again!!! Mason said he'll surf this time :)

INTRODUCING...

SWAYZIE KATE THORNLEY

Swayzie was born on 11/6/2011 at 7:15 p.m.   Weighing 8 lbs 1 oz and 19 1/2 inches long.  She is absolutely beautiful and we are all so in love with her!

The surgery went smoothly (after 5 tries to get an IV in me, lots of bruises, and extreme shakes).   Turned out I was in labor when I showed up, I had been having contractions most of the afternoon.   For some reason after I got my IV, I started shaking uncontrollably.  Justin was so sweet to help me, and comfort me.  I really married the most amazing guy ever.

My Dr. had her delivered within 10 minutes! I heard her cry and couldn't keep the tears from coming. It was the most amazing sound.  Justin had stepped up to watch the surgery and came back to where I could see him and exclaimed, "She has so much hair!"   They wrapped her up and I was able to look at her for a few minutes before they took her to the nursery.

I was left in recovery all alone for a good hour and a half! My nurse kept telling me to get some sleep, but I was so anxious to see her.  I had the cell phones in the room with me, and could hear them going off (everyone was waiting to hear any news).  I didn't know anything, I couldn't move to get the phones, and Justin was on a completely different floor with Swayzie.  Ann finally called my room and I was able to tell them that she was born, and that was about all I knew!

I finally was able to be moved down to the mother/baby floor, but had to go through paperwork/nurse stuff before I could see her.   I finally was able to see little Swayzie around 10:00.   We hadn't named her yet, but as soon as I saw her, I knew she was supposed to be Swayzie.  Justin felt the same way.

Justin had been able to stay in the nursery with her the entire time. I'm so glad he was able to have those precious hours with her, and was able to bond with his daughter.

Pretty soon the boys, my mom, Ann, Lexi, and Trevor came up to see Swayzie. The boys loved her immediately!

Swayzie is such a good baby. She is a great eater, and sleeper. She is doing great at her night times now (was really messed up the first few nights, but I knew she would be).  I actually have to wake her up to get her to eat.

We love her so much, and can't imagine life without her.   Mason has taken right over in being her protector. Anytime she cries he sings to her.  Easton is the big helper, and is always getting things for me that I need.  Justin has been such a huge help, and I was so sad when he had to go back to work. I love him so much!

Heritage Days

We always love going to Heritage Days.  The boys look forward to it, and I love seeing people from high school, and Justin loves going and getting apples from The Forbidden Fruit!

We always have to do the rides, and let the boys get some energy out. We brought the wagon this year and it was so nice!!! No more crying about being too tired to walk!!!  That night, Justin finished baling hay for my dad, so we watch the fireworks from the field. A lot of neighbors were lighting them off, and it was actually a lot of fun!  This was the first year it was legal to have the "Good" ones:)

Father's Day

For Father's Day the boys made these totally awesome ties in Primary.  Justin had to wear both of them to church on Father's Day.  The boys were so proud of them and thought it was so much fun!! They sure love their dad, and love playing any kind of  "Super Hero" games with him.    I'm so lucky to have Justin and so greatful that he is such an amazing father:)

Library Days

This summer we were able to go to Ferron City's Library days!  It was a lot of fun, and the kids loved it.   Each week was a different theme and there were activities to go along with it.  They had fun making things and reading the different books. We were able to take Ashlynn, Addison, and Skylee with us one week while Bret and Kristy were in Alaska. They had a good time too!

It was also a lot of fun since one of my High School friends was visiting for a few weeks in Ferron and was able to come and bring her daughter.  It was great to catch up!
