I wanna ride...

Our driveway is too rough and bumpy for Easton to ride his bike. When he tries he ends up just spinning out. So we took Easton and Mase down to a main road where he could really ride. Both of them had a good time, and Mason started learning how to pedal a real bike. I think we are going to have to invest in another bike! Meah goes everywhere the boys go. She keeps an eye on them, and worries about what they are doing!

Fishin' in the dark

Yesterday we decided to go fishing. I love Ferron Reservoir, so that's where we went. We went there earlier in the summer and caught a bunch of fish, so we thought we would try our luck again. We walked down to the water, Justin got Mason's line ready, I threw it in, and instantly he had a fish on it. He reeled it in as quick as his little arms would turn the reel! He was so proud! He even helped Justin hit it over the head, and thought it was awesome that its eye bugged out! When we would move to a new place he would pack the fish in one hand and his rootbeer in the other (rootbeer is his FAVORITE drink now-a-days). Easton has a hard time sitting still while fishing, and is constantly reeling in his line, and throwing it out. Justin finally told him, "You can NOT reel that in unless I tell you that you can." Not even 5 seconds later Eastons reeling in his line. Justin says, "What did I tell you?" Easton replies, "There is a fish on my line." He always says this and there never is. Justin tells him, " No Easton, you don't have a fish on your line, just leave it alone." Easton tells Justin, "Dad my line says there is a fish." Just then SPLASH! Yep, he had a fish! Easton had the "I told you so" look on his face :) I had a pretty good laugh! Easton reeled it on all the way to the shore and then it got off. There were many tears shed because of that...

So Mason had only caught that one fish, and then no more. We remembered that fishing got really good just as the sun went down the last time we were there. So we waiting, and sure enough as soon as the sun went behind the mountain we were catching fish like crazy! I even caught this HUGE one!

We had a good time fishing in the dark. Mason can't wait to eat the fish he caught, and Easton is now glad he didn't reel the fish in all the way because he doesn't have to eat any.:)

Grandma bought the boys these really cool molds for Popsicles. The boys had been begging me for weeks to make them some, and I finally got around to it. We made them at night and they weren't ready until morning. So guess what they had for breakfast?!? Yep.. I'm an awesome mom! :) Justin bow hunted this year. He shot one on the 24th. A really nice three-point! I don't think I have seen my hubby smile so much in long time! Good Job Justin!!

San Diego Day 5

Today was the day to head home. We all were sad to leave. Although Mason really missed Grandpa, Easton really missed Meah, and Daddy really missed sleeping in his bed without Mase in it :). Mommy and Grandma could have stayed another 5 days! Mason was super wore out so he slept on both of the flights.

Easton really wanted to take a picture of the plane wing to show his pre-school class. I think he did an awesome job!

San Diego Day 4

Today we decided to go to San Diego Zoo. We didn't have a car to drive, so we decided to take the Old Town Trolley. This takes you all over San Diego, and while driving you learn about the parts of the city. It was a lot of fun, and the boys really enjoyed it. The Trolley makes stops at a bunch of different places, and we got off for a while at Sea Port Village. It has a bunch of different shops. We looked around there for awhile and got some San Diego stuff. Then we got back on the head to the Zoo.

We only had a few hours to do the Zoo because we had to catch the Trolley to make it back to the Hotel. Since the Zoo is HUGE we decided to ride their tour bus so the boys could see things at the far end. They loved this, and we got to see a lot of animals up close. After the tour we walked to the monkeys, since we didn't see them. Easton's favorite animal was the Elephant, and Mason loved the Giraffes! There was even a baby. Mason chose a stuffed giraffe for his toy from the zoo. He has been carrying it around every since!

When we got back from the zoo, the boys wanted to go swimming. Mommy was to sunburned to go, so Daddy took them. After having watched the penguins at Sea World, Easton and Mason decided that the only way to get into the water was to do it on their bellies. They had a good time sliding into the pool. Justin was an awesome dad and caught them over and over :)

San Diego Day 3

Today we went to the beach! We had to walk to get there, which was about a mile one way. The boys both did it without any problems, or complaining. Daddy had fun learning to body board, Easton and Mason had fun making sand castles, and Mommy and Grandma had fun laying out and watching the boys play. Mason got knocked down by one wave and rolled around, but he thought it was funny. Easton didn't have much to do with the water. He thought it was too cold! We had a good time, and enjoyed the day.

MMMM! Ice Cream!

I just had to put this picture on! This is how Mase spent a bit of time while at the hotel. He thought it was funny to jump from bed to bed, or bed to chair, or off the bed, and to climb in the closet and bang the doors. So he ended up sitting in time out.

San Diego Day 2

Today is Sea World Day! Easton and Mason could not wait to see Shamu, penguins, dolphins, and the sharks! Our hotel had this awesome billboard where we waited for the shuttle. The first place we went to was the penguin encounter. It was really cool! Literally:) We couldn't believe how many penguins were in there, and how fast they could swim. It was fun to just watch them! We then went over to the beluga whales, and polar bear. The whales were swimming all over, but the polar bear was sleeping.

Next up was SHAMU!!! We walked across a boardwalk and could look down into the different pools. These two whales kept kissing each other. It was pretty funny! We ended up sitting in the soak zone, but up pretty high. Grandma and Daddy didn't want to get wet. Lucky for them, the splashes didn't come up that high! The boys were entertained through the whole show, and were amazing at the cool tricks they could do! They really liked the baby whale too.

We then went to a pet show that was hilarious! Then to the dolphin show. We were up super high though and didn't get very good pictures. Mason loved when the people stood on the dolphins backs and went around. He thought that was awesome. We then went into the shark encounter. Easton decided to pout and be scared, so we decided to have some fun. After about 3 funny face pictures he wanted in on the fun. However he got cut out of the picture. Oops!

Easton and Mason both had to have a map. They had it out the entire day telling us where to go. They were such good tour guides!

We then went to the Seal show. It was super fun, and cute. Again, the boys were amazed at the seals tricks, and laughed through the whole thing!

Last, we went to Elmo in 4-D! It was awesome! Not only were things flying around close to your face, but you were getting sprayed by water, your seat was vibrating, and bubbles were floating down past you. Easton didn't like the water part and started crying. Mason on the other hand loved the entire thing. Especially when Cookie Monster's cookie looked like it was right in front of you. He was grabbing for it, and the Cookie Monster ate it! He laughed at that!

We had a few minutes to kill so we rode a few little rides that were there. Mason also got to see Elmo and Count. He was scared of Count though so Count left!
